AI & modules
AI features and high-level UI modules that you embed as React components.
These modules wrap whole product experiences into React components: the AI Assistant for conversational analytics, Semantic Search for finding analytical objects, the Analytics Catalog explorer, Key Driver Analysis, and the Notifications panel for alerts. Each module handles its own state, data loading, and UI, and reads the backend and workspace from the same BackendProvider and WorkspaceProvider as the rest of the SDK. They’re published in dedicated packages such as @gooddata/sdk-ui-gen-ai, @gooddata/sdk-ui-semantic-search, @gooddata/sdk-ui-catalog, and @gooddata/sdk-ui-ext.
The AI modules show features that run in GoodData, so your organization must have them set up first. See AI Assistant prerequisites.
The Automations list is an @internal API: it’s documented here, but it isn’t part of the public API and can change in any release.
To let an external AI client, such as Claude or Cursor, work with a GoodData workspace, use the GoodData MCP server, a GoodData Cloud feature outside GoodData.UI.
AI Assistant

AI Assistant layouts
Switch the AI Assistant between docked and fullscreen layouts, show the conversations list next to the chat, connect the assistant to a dashboard, and hand it a Semantic Search query.
Customize the assistant
Replace or wrap parts of the AI Assistant UI through slots, from the landing screen and the agent chooser to messages, follow-up questions, and feedback.
Control the assistant
Get the AI Assistant store dispatcher, send messages, reset the thread, manage conversations, switch agents and context, and migrate from makeUserMessage to makeUserItem.
Semantic Search
Embed natural-language search for analytical objects with the SemanticSearch component or the useSemanticSearch hook, and filter results by object type or tag.
Analytics Catalog
Embed the AnalyticsCatalog explorer to let users browse and search the metrics, attributes, facts, datasets, visualizations, and dashboards of a workspace.
Notifications panel
Display and manage notifications with NotificationsPanel, configure refresh and inline or overlay rendering, and customize the panel's individual UI elements.
Key Driver Analysis
