# TigerJwtAuthProvider

- Package: [@gooddata/sdk-backend-tiger](https://www.gooddata.ai/docs/gooddata-ui/latest/api-reference/sdk-backend-tiger/index.md)
- Kind: class
- Stability: alpha
- Source: https://github.com/gooddata/gooddata-ui-sdk/blob/rel/11.64/libs/sdk-backend-tiger/src/auth.ts

> **Alpha API.** Initial API, highly likely to change outside SemVer. Don't build on it in production. See [API maturity](https://www.gooddata.ai/docs/gooddata-ui/latest/integrations/platform/api-maturity/index.md).
>

The implementation of authentication provider uses an JWT (JSON Web Token) as bearer of authentication.

**Signature:**

```typescript
export declare class TigerJwtAuthProvider extends TigerTokenAuthProvider
```
**Extends:** [TigerTokenAuthProvider](https://www.gooddata.ai/docs/gooddata-ui/latest/api-reference/sdk-backend-tiger/sdk-backend-tiger.tigertokenauthprovider/index.md)

## Remarks

You can provide token at construction time, and it will be passed on all calls to Tiger APIs.

Keep in mind that this authentication provider can lead to security holes; having the token available as JavaScript variable in an UI application means anyone can find it and use it for themselves while the token is valid. UI applications should prefer [ContextDeferredAuthProvider](https://www.gooddata.ai/docs/gooddata-ui/latest/api-reference/sdk-backend-tiger/sdk-backend-tiger.contextdeferredauthprovider/index.md) instead.
