# isComputedAttributeRef()

- Package: [@gooddata/sdk-model](https://www.gooddata.ai/docs/gooddata-ui/latest/api-reference/sdk-model/index.md)
- Kind: function
- Source: https://github.com/gooddata/gooddata-ui-sdk/blob/rel/11.64/libs/sdk-model/src/objRef/index.ts

Type guard checking whether the object is an Identifier Reference pointing at a computed attribute.

**Signature:**

```typescript
export declare function isComputedAttributeRef(obj: unknown): boolean;
```

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| obj | unknown | object to test |

**Returns:**

boolean

## Remarks

A computed attribute has no labels on the backend; exactly one display form is fabricated for it client-side and that display form's ref IS the computed attribute's own ref, carrying the `computedAttribute` object type. So a ref typed this way is the signal that an attribute-shaped reference actually points at a computed attribute - whether it sits on a bucket item, a filter or anywhere else a display form ref is expected.
