# toggleLayoutDirection()

Creates the ToggleLayoutDirection command.

**Signature:**

```typescript
export declare function toggleLayoutDirection(layoutPath: ILayoutItemPath | undefined, direction: IDashboardLayoutContainerDirection, correlationId?: string): IToggleLayoutDirection;
```

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Description |

| layoutPath | [ILayoutItemPath](https://www.gooddata.ai/docs/gooddata-ui/latest/api-reference/sdk-ui-dashboard/sdk-ui-dashboard.ilayoutitempath/index.md) \| undefined | layout for which the direction will be changed. |
| direction | [IDashboardLayoutContainerDirection](https://www.gooddata.ai/docs/gooddata-ui/latest/api-reference/sdk-model/sdk-model.idashboardlayoutcontainerdirection/index.md) | the new direction for the layout ('row' or 'column'). |
| correlationId | string | _(Optional)_ specify correlation id to use for this command. this will be included in all events that will be emitted during the command processing |

IToggleLayoutDirection

## Remarks

This command changes the direction of the dashboard layout.
