# identifierMatch()

- Package: [@gooddata/sdk-ui](https://www.gooddata.ai/docs/gooddata-ui/latest/api-reference/sdk-ui/index.md)
- Kind: function
- Source: https://github.com/gooddata/gooddata-ui-sdk/blob/rel/11.64/libs/sdk-ui/src/base/headerMatching/HeaderPredicateFactory.ts

Creates a new predicate that returns true for any header that belongs to either attribute or measure with the provided identifier.

**Signature:**

```typescript
export declare function identifierMatch(identifier: string, type?: ObjectType): IHeaderPredicate;
```

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| identifier | string |  |
| type | [ObjectType](https://www.gooddata.ai/docs/gooddata-ui/latest/api-reference/sdk-model/sdk-model.objecttype/index.md) | _(Optional)_ |

**Returns:**

[IHeaderPredicate](https://www.gooddata.ai/docs/gooddata-ui/latest/api-reference/sdk-ui/sdk-ui.iheaderpredicate/index.md)

## Remarks

Passing a type narrows the match to a header whose ref names both that identifier and that type. This is the only way to tell a computed attribute from a label of the same identifier: a computed attribute has no labels and is referenced directly, so the identifier alone matches either.
