# usePlaceholder()

React hook to obtain/set placeholder value.

**Signature:**

```typescript
export declare function usePlaceholder<T extends IPlaceholder<any>>(placeholder?: T): [
    PlaceholderValue<T> | undefined,
    (valueOrUpdateCallback: ValueOrUpdateCallback<PlaceholderValue<T> | undefined>) => void
];
```
